“Midnights”- By Taylor Swift (Review)

Hello there sweet Beauties,

I want to state that I am a Taylor Swift fan. I have been listening to her music since 2006 when I was a Freshman in high school. I have written reviews of some of her albums that came out recently, but they are still written in my journals. I haven’t got the chance to transfer those reviews. I don’t know if I will do that in the near future or not. I guess I will see what happens… I mean so far they aren’t up on here, and this will be my first review of music being all written in my blog post instead of writing it in a journal. I feel it takes too long to do double the work…

So at any rate, right now as I am typing this… I am waiting for the music to drop at midnight…. so in other terms I am waiting to review right when it comes out. I am hoping I will love this album! Enjoy my review!!!

Track 1- “Lavender Haze” -[Rating 7.5 ]

This song has a weird start. It almost gave me Britney Spears vibes, because it always seemed like Britney was trying new beats. It has a nice hook to it. It reminds me of her “Folklore” album, but yet her “Forever Winter” vibes. it is an interesting listen.

Track 2- “Maroon” -[Rating 9 ]

Mysterious start to the song. It has creepy, but dark vibes. I am kind of digging the feel of the song. This song has a different feel from her other songs. Which I kind of like the fact that it was different than what she has made in the past. I got goosebumps from this song! Literally!

Track 3- “Anti- Hero”-[Rating 9.5 ]

This song is a pretty relatable. I can follow it very well. I like the perspective she gives out. She is telling us that she isn’t always “well” or feels good. She acknowledges her issue from the hardcore vibes of depression. I really like this song.

Track 4- “Snow On The Beach” -[Rating 8.5 ]

It has a calming feeling. I can see myself listening to this when I am daydreaming on a sad day. it actually vibes pretty well to my ears. It is a fantasy type of song. I literally had to change my ratings 3 times, because the song seems to get better for me as each few seconds pass.

Track 5- “You’re On Your Own, Kid” -[Rating 10 ]

The song played in the first 10 seconds, and I fell in love with this song. It is a strong song with a strong message. I am vibing with this song. It is pretty simplistic kind of song, but I really love it.

Track 6- “Midnight Rain” -[Rating 6.5 ]

Weird start. Who was that singing? I kind of don’t like the other people singing along with her. That aspect is distracting me from really liking the song. They had to alter him singing to make it sound shaky. I think if that guy was deleted the song would be 10000% better. Just saying.

Track 7- “Question…?” -[Rating 7 ]

This is a-okay song. It doesn’t overwhelm me like I was expecting it to do. I mean it is tolerable enough. It is better than the song before, but I wish it grabbed my attention more.

Track 8- “Vigilante Shit” -[Rating 5]

Start got me right away. I don’t like the constant bass that is going on. If it plays a little bit in the song I would not care… but the bass is the whole song. The story is interesting listen, and from that it made it at least a 5.

Track 9- “Bejeweled” -[Rating 8.5 ]

I like her show in this song. She shines really bright in a room, and this song compliments that. I really like that aspect. I really enjoy this song. For some reason it really catches me to listen to more and more of the song.

Track 10- “Labyrinth” -[Rating 8.5 ]

It almost gives me “Mirrorball” vibes. I like this calm singing that she does. It really can make a good song. It is a pretty good song. A true love anthem.

Track 11- “Karma” -[Rating 9 ]

It takes a bit to get to the song, but once it does it jump starts you. This song gave me chills. The lyrics are rather legit. I like the feel of this song. She has the perfect relationship with karma.

Track 12- “Sweet Nothing” -[Rating 5 ]

This song almost starts off like a child nursery rhyme. You can almost hear it in a play played by six year olds. I don’t know if I have an opinion of this song. It isn’t terrible, but also not excellent. It is an average song for me.

Track 13- “Mastermind” -[Rating 9]

It sounds like an old 80’s game. It picks up a little bit. I have this weird fascination to this song. I kind of really like it. It is a pretty fun song.
